Whether you're a seasoned competitor or picking up a racket for the first time, Whitfield Badminton Club has a place for you. As a friendly adult badminton club in Stoke-on-Trent, we play competitive league badminton across Staffordshire and Cheshire as well as welcoming social and beginner players.

There's no membership fee to join Whitfield Badminton Club. Simply come along to our Monday evening sessions, pay £5 on the night, and get playing.


We welcome players of all abilities — from complete beginners taking up badminton in Stoke-on-Trent for the first time, through to competitive league players. If you've never played before, we'll make sure you're looked after.

Do I need to be a member to play?

No. There's no membership fee at Whitfield Badminton Club — just turn up to a Monday evening session, pay £5 on the night, and get playing.

I've never played badminton before — can I still come?

Yes. We welcome players of all abilities, from complete beginners to competitive league players, and Badminton England qualified coaching is available.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself, a racket, and £5 for the session. Club shuttlecocks are provided.

Where and when do you play?

Monday evenings, 7:00–9:30 PM, across 3 full-size courts at New Horizons Sports Centre, Uplands Avenue, Chell, Stoke-on-Trent ST6 6JT.

Do you play competitive league badminton?

Yes. Whitfield Badminton Club enters Mixed and Men's Doubles teams in the Staffordshire and Cheshire leagues, alongside our social sessions.

Do I need to book in advance?

No booking needed — come along to any Monday session. If you have questions first, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
